Strong ground defense. Valkyrie shreds Giants while your Balloon surprises ground-only armies.
Set 3: 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers
Balanced splash and tank. Wizard adds range, Valkyrie soaks damage and kills grouped troops.
Which Combo Should You Use
For Farming, go with Baby Dragon combo. Most attacks at TH5 are either Giant spam or Balloon spam. Baby Dragon handles air while Archers slow ground pushes.
For War and CWL, use Valkyrie + Balloon or Valkyrie + Wizard. War attackers plan better than farmers. Valkyrie survives longer and the extra splash from Wizard or surprise Balloon can ruin their timing.

What is the best TH5 base layout?
Depends on your goal. For CWL, the TH5 Anti-3 CWL Base or TH5 Anti-Air CWL Base give you the best shot at avoiding 3-stars.
How do I stop Balloon attacks at TH5?
Three things: center your Air Defense, place Red Air Bombs where Balloons path, and fill CC with Baby Dragon combo. TH5 has Wizard Tower now which also hits air. Keep it protected in the core.
Is it worth staying at TH5 or should I rush to TH6?
TH5 is still a short Town Hall. Most players max it in about a week. Upgrade your Air Defense, Wizard Tower, and Mortar before moving up. These carry your defense at TH6 too.
Why do I keep getting 3-starred at TH5?
Usually one of these: empty CC, Air Defense on the edge, or Wizard Tower too exposed. Check your replays. If Balloons are killing you, switch to an Anti-Air base and request Baby Dragon in CC.
